You can't get more Paris chic, fashion relevance or respect as Coco Chanel. A creative force that appealed to me very early; her pieces were understated but it was the honesty and fearless incorporation of stereotypical attire that made her one of my favorite designers. Who doesn't love the knitted suits, the tailored jackets with multiple pearls and rightly placed pins to adorn an outfit. In browsing the library, I saw an old video that she made; mainly raw footage of her factory, with seamtresses at old sewing machines and a few fashion shows that she appeared, she was everything that most young girls wanted to be; fashionable and rich. She commented that she liked wearing costume jewelry because she could; stating that even though I own real jewelry; wearing it all the time was not necessary.
